I'm Leigh Giberson, a dog trainer based in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. For more than 10 years I've trained people and helped them build their skills. Now, I'm putting that experience towards helping anxious, reactive, or overwhelmed dogs and their people.

You might be here because:
  • Life with your dog feels harder than you expected.

  • You’re seeing signs of anxiety, overexcitement, or difficulty
    settling at home.

  • Walks are stressful because of
    leash pulling, barking, or reactivity.

  • Your dog struggles to focus or
respond to important cues like recall

How our training works:

Every dog is different, so training starts with a consultation where we take the time to understand your goals and what’s driving your dog’s behaviour.

From there, we create a personalized training plan to:

  • Improve communication between you and your dog

  • Reduce stress and confusion for both of you

  • Build practical, step-by-step skills that carry over into real life

At How to Dog, we use modern, evidence-based training methods rooted in positive reinforcement and behavioural science.

We focus on safety, clarity, and helping your dog make better choices because they understand what’s being asked. In simple terms, I teach you how to teach your dog.

Training is approached one goal at a time, so you and your dog can succeed and build real momentum.
